Job summary

Ontrac Solutions is seeking a Network Automation & Reliability Engineer to operate and automate hyperscale data center, backbone, and OOB networks. This Python-first role emphasizes writing code over CLI, building tooling, telemetry pipelines, and self-healing automation across a global data center fleet.

The candidate will work across Arista, Juniper, and Cisco platforms, implement gNMI/OpenConfig telemetry, and own production code through on-call rotations, CI pipelines, and golden

Qualifications

• Python development in production network/infrastructure.
• Routing & switching depth with BGP/IS-IS/OSPF/ECMP.
• Multi-vendor hardware experience on Arista Juniper Cisco.
• Automation frameworks and config management with NETCONF/YANG or RESTCONF.
• Telemetry and monitoring with SNMP/gNMI/OpenConfig.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and maintain Python tooling for device provisioning and validation.
• Develop model-driven provisioning libraries using Jinja2 with NETCONF/YANG or REST APIs.
• Create automated remediation for recurring failures triggered by telemetry.
• Reduce operational toil by replacing manual runbooks with code.
