Job summary

GEICO is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to design and implement network services and automation across a large-scale environment. You will drive automation using DevOps and CICD practices, publish runbooks and design references, and maintain efficient processes across critical network platforms.

The role requires expertise in Python, Golang, Bash, PowerShell, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and modern automation tools.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of common application architectures and communications protocols.
• Understanding of programming and scripting languages such as Python, Golang, Bash and PowerShell.
• Proficient using automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, Nautobot, etc.
• Experience using Linux.
• Proficient with container technologies like Docker, Podman, Kubernetes.
• Ability to work with nested data structures like JSON, XML, YAML.
• Ability to work with APIs and SQL.
• Familiarity with network infrastructure functions and OSI reference model.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and promote network services and automation solutions using DevOps and CICD practices.
• Publish documentation sets for runbooks and design references.
• Develop and maintain automation workflows to improve quality and efficiency.
• Operate and maintain large-scale network environments and services.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support for network automation issues.
