Job summary

GEICO is modernizing its network infrastructure and seeks a Senior Network Automation & Configuration Management Engineer. The role focuses on automating configuration, drift detection, and lifecycle management across data centers, cloud environments, and regional offices.

You will design platforms, build CI/CD pipelines, and lead modernization efforts with a strong emphasis on Python, Ansible, Terraform, and DevOps practices. Collaboration with multiple engineering teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of network engineering experience.
• 5+ years developing network automation and configuration management solutions.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or data center networks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain network automation platforms for routers, switches, firewalls, and cloud networking.
• Create reusable automation frameworks using Python, Ansible, Nornir, Terraform, GitOps, and related technologies.
• Develop APIs and services enabling self-service network provisioning and automation.
• Build event-driven workflows for configuration deployment, validation, and remediation.
