Job summary

GEICO seeks a Senior Cloud Network Engineer to join a hybrid team across Palo Alto, Dallas, Bethesda and Seattle. You will design and automate large-scale network services, publish runbooks, and drive platform automation in a fast-growing insurance tech environment.

You'll implement DevOps practices, work with Python, Ansible, Terraform, Nautobot, Docker and Kubernetes, and support secure, scalable network infrastructure with robust monitoring and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of common application architectures and networking protocols.
• Programming and scripting in Python, Golang, Bash and PowerShell.
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Nautobot and container tech (Docker/Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and promote network services and platform automation with DevOps and CICD.
• Publish runbooks, as-built, and design reference documentation.
• Develop and maintain automation to improve quality and efficiency.
• Leverage network management platforms for large-scale deployments.
• Triage, analyze, and perform root cause analysis for automation issues.
