Job summary

Electric Hydrogen is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and operate our enterprise network across offices, data centers, and cloud environments. You will partner with cybersecurity, cloud, and manufacturing teams to deliver secure, scalable networking solutions and ensure high availability.

The role emphasizes Zero Trust, network segmentation, disaster recovery, and collaboration with OT environments. Remote-friendly, with strong healthcare and compensation packages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
• Strong experience with enterprise routing and switching technologies.
• Hands-on experience administering Fortinet and Cisco networking platforms.
• Experience designing secure networks using VLANs, routing, VPNs and segmentation.
• Familiarity with VMware networking and virtual infrastructure.
• Understanding of Zero Trust cybersecurity principles and OT networking.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, resilient enterprise network infrastructure across multiple locations.
• Support campus, WAN, wireless, VPN, and data center networks.
• Develop segmentation strategies, VLANs, routing, switches, firewall policies, and remote access.
• Evaluate and implement new networking technologies and improvements.
• Ensure high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery for critical networks.
• Configure and troubleshoot switches, routers, firewalls, wireless, and load balancers.
• Manage firewall platforms, VPN, NAC, and network access controls.
• Monitor performance, availability, and security using enterprise tools.
• Investigate complex network issues and optimize performance.
• Implement security best practices including Zero Trust and secure remote access.
• Support vulnerability remediation and infrastructure hardening.
• Design and maintain connectivity between on-prem and cloud (Azure, AWS).
• Create network diagrams, standards, configurations, and documentation.
