Job summary

CUNY Central Office is seeking a Network Architect – Level III for onsite work at 395 Hudson Street, NYC. The role focuses on standardizing IP addressing, designing campus networks, and supporting hybrid/multi-cloud connectivity across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in network architecture, strong Cisco routing/switching, and experience with Infoblox, F5, and security appliances. Travel to campuses is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on network architect experience with leadership in complex projects.
• Expertise in IP addressing, Re-IP planning, segmentation, and migration.
• Strong Cisco configuration skills including EIGRP, STP, VoIP QoS, and firewalls.

Responsibilities

• Assess current IP schemes, routing, VLANs and dependencies across campuses.
• Build Re-IP strategy, target-state design, cutover and rollback plans.
• Audit campus and data center networks; deliver prioritized findings report.
• Implement changes during change windows, validate, and provide post-change support.
• Produce design documents and MOPs; knowledge transfer to staff.
