Job summary

The Office of the Queens County District Attorney (QDA) is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to manage, implement and support QDA’s network infrastructure. The Senior Network Engineer will be part of QDA’s Information Technology Bureau which serves an office of over 1,000 staff.

Responsibilities include designing, deploying and supporting the enterprise environment; leading LAN, WAN, Datacenter, Spine/Leaf, Wireless and Cloud projects for our Cisco-based infra; creating technical

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field and four years of full-time experience in datacenter engineering and operations, cloud engineering and operations, or eight years without the degree.
Excellent communication skills and ability to handle confidential information.
Strong preference for advanced networking and security certifications, and experience as a Network Architect or Network Engineer.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy and support the growing enterprise environment.
Lead projects involving LAN, WAN, Datacenter, Spine/Leaf, Wireless, Cloud for Cisco-based infrastructure.
Collaborate with network architects to vet designs and create technical documentation.
Work with vendors and carriers to implement designs and optimize the network.
Troubleshoot Level 2/3 network issues and improve uptime and security.
