Job summary

Rackspace Technology is seeking a Network Engineer IV to design, architect, implement, and support a multi-datacenter enterprise network spanning routing, switching, campus fabric, and security. This senior role leads troubleshooting and mentors junior engineers.

The candidate will work hybrid in the Seattle/Tacoma area, with on-site work as needed, manage Cisco ACI and SDA fabrics, BGP/OSPF, Nexus, Palo Alto firewalls, and drive automation with Python and Ansible.

Qualifications

• Candidates must design, implement and troubleshoot enterprise network environments.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching, and data center fabrics.
• Experience with Cisco ACI, SDA, and firewall policies is required.
• Ability to mentor engineers and lead complex network projects.

Responsibilities

• Designs scalable network solutions across routing, switching, fabric and security.
• Leads complex troubleshooting including routing protocols, fabric connectivity, and firewall policy conflicts.
• Architects and maintains Cisco ACI and SDA fabrics, including DNA Center-based policy.
• Configures BGP/OSPF and multi-site architectures with VXLAN/EVPN.
• Maintains high-availability switching infrastructure and fabric redundancy.
• Develops automation and IaC pipelines (Python, Ansible) to enforce policy compliance.
