Bcbsla is seeking a Lead Network Engineer to design, implement, and automate enterprise network architectures across on-prem and cloud environments. You will drive modernization with SDN, automation, and API-driven networking while ensuring security and reliability.

The role requires extensive experience in network engineering, scripting, and platform integration, with a focus on scalable, policy-driven networking and cross-functional collaboration.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
• Four years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Industry certifications approved by management (e.g., Cisco CCNA or Cisco DevNet Associate) may count toward experience.

Responsabilidades

• Leads planning, design, testing, and automated deployment of network architectures across data center, WAN, campus, and cloud.
• Develops and maintains automation frameworks and version-controlled configurations to streamline changes.
• Ensures security, availability, and performance of network infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments.
• Mentors engineers and promotes best practices in SDN, cloud networking, and automation.
• Ensures compliance with security policies and governance for network changes and architectures.
