Job summary

Synergy Business Consulting, Inc. is hiring a Lead Network Architect to own the enterprise network roadmap spanning on-prem, Azure, and GCP. You will drive WAN/SD-WAN/MPLS, cloud interconnects, and firewall architecture, partnering with security to implement Zero Trust and segmentation.

You will lead automation through Terraform and Ansible, establish observability standards, and mentor engineers, with strong executive communication to transform global networks.

Qualifications

• 13+ years in enterprise networking.
• 10+ years architecting complex global networks.
• Azure and GCP networking architecture experience.
• Expertise in BGP, OSPF, Juniper switching, MPLS/SD-WAN, and DNS.
• Palo Alto and Juniper firewall architecture.
• Terraform and Ansible for network automation at scale.

Responsibilities

Synergy Business Consulting is hiring a Lead Network Architect for a leading global technology company. You'll be the technical authority on a hybrid network spanning data centers, campuses, branches, Azure, and GCP. You'll set the roadmap and standards, and the engineering teams will build to them.

What you'll do

• Define the enterprise network architecture roadmap across on-prem, Azure, and GCP
• Architect WAN, SD-WAN, MPLS, IPSec, and cloud interconnect solutions (BGP, OSPF, VRF)
• Partner with Security on Zero Trust, segmentation, and Palo Alto/Juniper firewall architecture
• Drive an automation-first culture with Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD
• Set observability standards (Splunk, ThousandEyes) and lead root-cause analysis on major incidents
• Review designs, lead PoCs, and mentor network engineers

What you bring

• 13+ years in enterprise networking, including 10+ years architecting complex global networks
• Deep, hands-on Azure and GCP networking architecture experience
• Expertise in BGP, OSPF, Juniper switching, MPLS/SD-WAN, and DNS (Infoblox, Cloudflare, Cloud DNS)
• Palo Alto and Juniper firewall architecture
• Terraform and Ansible for network automation at scale
• Aruba Wireless; F5 and cloud load balancing
• Executive-level communication and a track record of leading transformation programs

Nice to have: Exposure to Agentic or GenAI for network operations

• 40 hrs/week, 8-5 EST, no OT or weekends
• 2 interview rounds via MS Teams (45 min each)
