Global Network Architect | Hybrid Onsite
A leading global enterprise technology organization is hiring a Global Network Architect to set the direction for its enterprise, cloud, and telecom networks. You'll define where the network goes next. That means evaluating and introducing cloud-native networking, automation, and other modern approaches, and turning them into secure, scalable, cost-effective designs. You'll work closely with engineering, cybersecurity, cloud, operations, and senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Build network and infrastructure strategies, roadmaps, reference architectures, and standards.
- Evaluate and pilot modern technologies across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including cloud WAN, SD-WAN, SASE, SDN, network virtualization, intent-based networking, and hybrid connectivity.
- Drive network automation, infrastructure as code, telemetry, observability, and application-aware traffic engineering.
- Build proofs of concept and prototypes to validate new designs before enterprise rollout.
- Lead architecture reviews and keep projects aligned with technical, security, and regulatory standards.
- Provide technical direction for complex network projects, cloud migrations, and legacy modernization.
- Weigh trade-offs in scalability, availability, performance, security, and cost, and manage the risks of new technology.
- Present recommendations to engineers, managers, and executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Significant experience in network infrastructure engineering and architecture.
- A track record of designing and supporting large, complex, global enterprise networks.
- Strong enterprise networking, cloud networking, telecom, and hybrid infrastructure experience.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Working knowledge of SD-WAN, SASE, SDN, network automation, IaC, and network observability.
- Experience leading network modernization, cloud or infrastructure transformation, and architecture governance.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks, technology standards, and policy requirements.
- The ability to influence technical and business leaders, with strong communication and leadership skills.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree or technology-focused MBA is preferred.
