Job summary

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is seeking a Senior Network Engineer focused on AI and automation to move the organization toward self-healing, automated network operations at scale.

The role involves designing automation workflows with Ansible, piloting AI-driven tools, and delivering end-to-end automation projects while collaborating with security and architecture teams. Remote work is possible within approved U.S. locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field is required.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• Strong Python skills and experience with Ansible or similar tools is expected.

Responsibilities

• Design and build automation workflows using Ansible/AAP to standardize configuration, deployment, and remediation.
• Identify manual, repetitive network operations tasks and engineer them out through scripting and orchestration.
• Evaluate and pilot AI-driven tools for anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, and intelligent alerting.
• Build integrations across monitoring platforms and network infrastructure to close the loop between detection and action.
• Own high-visibility automation projects end to end, from proof of concept to production rollout.
