Job summary

Freedom, a leading direct mail services provider, is seeking an experienced Network Administrator in Milton, WI to oversee servers, networking, and endpoints in a security-focused manufacturing environment.

You will work under the IT Infrastructure Manager, manage backups and disaster recovery testing, participate in on-call rotations, and maintain thorough documentation while upgrading and supporting infrastructure and endpoint systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field and 5+ years of practical network administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure: server hardware/OS (Windows, Linux), virtualization, storage, networking (VLAN, ACL, routing, Ethernet, wireless).
• Experience with security: firewalls, VPN, identity management (AD, MFA), PKI, DNS, DHCP, email, backup, remote desktop, file shares, app/web/SQL servers, cloud (Microsoft 365).
• Endpoint management across Windows, Mac, Linux; printers, mobile devices, monitoring and patching.
• Security tools: SIEM, EDR, WAF, patch management; scripting (PowerShell) for automation.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and ability to work independently and in on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Administer servers, networking, endpoints, communications, hardware, software in a security-oriented manufacturing environment.
• Maintain and upgrade IT infrastructure and support services; handle disaster recovery testing and backups.
• Support on-call rotation and after-hours requests with IT staff.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging tools and technologies; document configurations and procedures.
• Collaborate with IT staff and other departments to resolve complex technical issues.
