Job summary

The United States National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking a Senior Network Administrator to manage, optimize, and secure the NIST enterprise network and PACS isolated network. This role requires active CCNP certification and one year of GS-11 level specialized experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active CCNP certification or higher.
• One year of specialized experience at GS-11 level (ZP-III at NIST).
• Experience upgrading Cisco IOS/NXOS and hardware, including chassis and line cards.
• Experience using Cisco ISE for network access control and micro-segmentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage, optimize, and secure the NIST enterprise network and PACS isolated network.
• Interconnect and test network devices using fiber optic and copper testing tools.
• Maintain network reliability and security in a direct-hire capacity.
