SHIFT: M-F / hours are 6-2 and 10-6 (these time exclude any time off for lunch)

Position Overview

As a Senior Network Administrator, your role is to provide urgent CUCM and VOIP incident response to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems supporting the USBICES-X program. The ideal candidate will apply communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify, communicate, and resolve issues, maximizing the benefits of IT systems investments. We are seeking a self-motivated candidate with strong CUCM and VOIP skills. The primary focus will be on CUCM and T/S VOIP issues, comprising approximately 80% of workdays.

Responsibilities

1. Provides advice and training to end-users and less-experienced network personnel.
2. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves network incidents and problems.
3. Provides network, equipment, and specialized training and technical guidance.
4. Determines network specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
5. Participates in special projects as assigned.
6. Analyzes, administers, and maintains voice, video, and data communication networks.
7. Manages the usage and performance of these networks.
8. Maintains network to meet Enterprise Service Availability and SLA requirements.
9. Utilizes ITSM principles to troubleshoot and resolve incidents.
10. Maintains network security and ensures compliance with policies.
11. Develops and implements network procedures and standards.
12. Interfaces with vendors to resolve network outages or performance issues.
13. Assists with third-party monitoring procedures for network infrastructure.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience.
• Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
• Completed CCNA certification.
• Meet DOD 8750 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access; must obtain ITIL V4 Foundation within six months.
• Experience with routing and switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, SIP, SCCP).
• Knowledge of Cisco IOS and Juniper software/hardware.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
• Experience supporting hardware vendors in incident resolution.
• Provides Tier II support for problem diagnosis and resolution.
• Supports escalation and communication of status.
• Experience with network hardware, protocols, and security activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High degree of intelligence, competence, maturity, adaptability, resilience, integrity, and initiative.
• Willingness to work at client sites, following safety precautions.
• Willing to work shift hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• CCNP Enterprise or JNCIP-ENT certification.
• Experience with VoIP/VTC systems.
• Experience with HAIPE encryption devices.
• Knowledge of Multicast and GRE routing.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware, Citrix, Microsoft).
• Data center networking experience.
• Firewall knowledge and experience.
• Understanding of network virtualization.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range is approximately $87,550 - $118,450, based on experience, location, and contractual factors. Benefits and total rewards information are available.
