Job Purpose

The Sr Network Administrator III is responsible for the daily support and monitoring of remote WAN/LAN environment, field devices, network-application configurations, writing implementation plans, resolving production issues, and creating automated solutions.

Location

This role is remote to 5360 Legacy Dr., Ste. 300, Plano, TX 75024. It requires reporting in the office for project support as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Works independently with minimal supervision.
  • Assists OS and other Network team members in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Supports Technical Support, Site Installation teams, QA, Security, and Engineering teams.
  • Designs and implements network configurations for new tablet customers.
  • Collaborates with manager and/or team lead on priorities and tasks.
Essential Duties
  • Maintains LAN/WAN networks (Voice, Data, Video).
  • Maintains routers, switches, firewalls, security devices, and tunnels.
  • Enforces IP addressing standards.
  • Troubleshoots routing, switching, and WAP issues at remote sites.
  • Creates and reviews implementation plans.
  • Maintains configuration standards and automates network auditing and device installation.
  • Documents processes and automation procedures.
  • Mentors team members and other departments.
  • Provides 24x7 on-call support during evenings and weekends for critical issues.
  • Performs scheduled change controls that may disrupt business.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Ability to work independently, organize, and multi-task.
  • Works well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years networking experience
  • Advanced knowledge of BGP, QoS, STP, IPv4, DNS, NTP, SNMP, DHCP, ARP, RTP, SIP, LDAP, TACACS+.
  • Extensive experience with network installation, configuration, troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with routers, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi.
  • Experience with Internet data transmission.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CCNP or NSE 6 or equivalent.
  • Experience with Cisco Meraki, Rukus, Ubiquiti, Fortinet, Adtran devices.
  • Experience with Fortimanager, Fortianalyzer, FortiEMS, Ruckus, Meraki controllers.
  • Experience in mid to large scale environments.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, sit, talk, hear, operate equipment.
  • May need to reach, stoop, kneel.
  • Ability to install equipment in a data center.
  • May lift up to 25 pounds.
Salary and Benefits

Salary range: $89,575.97 – $112,328.26. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), disability, life insurance, paid time off, and voluntary benefits.
