Job summary

Ohio Department of Public Safety in Columbus seeks a Software Development Specialist 3 to perform impact analyses, assist with design reviews, and create test designs and plans for Microsoft .Net environments with SQL as a secondary technology.

You will coordinate unit and system testing, support user acceptance testing, and lead IT quality assurance activities for deployment activities in a full-time role at the Charles D Shipley Building.

Qualifications

• 60 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: assuring requirements are defined and approved, performing code reviews and ensuring application development standards are met including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
• Completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems
• Completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems; AND 36–42 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following.

Responsibilities

• Performs impacts analyses to identify interdependencies.
• Assist with design reviews.
• Creates detailed test designs & test plans.
• Coordinates execution of unit & system test scripts, debugging efforts & defect tracking, support of user acceptance testing, & software implementation & deployment tasks.
• Leads the development, implementation & monitoring of IT quality assurance standards & testing.
