Job summary

Kansas City University (KCU) seeks a Software Engineer to partner with stakeholders to deliver robust database-driven server-side applications. You will design, implement and optimize .NET-based solutions, including RESTful APIs and modern web interfaces, while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 7+ years of experience with a strong .NET stack, React for UI, and expertise in SQL Server, security, and integration with enterprise systems such as Workday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 7+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on .NET technology stack.
• Advanced proficiency with C#, .NET (Core/Framework), and Visual Studio.
• Deep experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including SSMS, performance tuning, indexing, and complex SQL.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end from design through deployment and support.
