Job summary

Taylor Corporation’s Venture Solutions seeks a seasoned Senior .Net Developer to provide hands-on development and technical leadership in an enterprise setting. You will work with C# and legacy VB.NET, require advanced SQL, and mentor other developers.

You will lead design-to-delivery, perform code reviews, and guide modernization, ensuring performance, scalability and reliability. Collaboration with QA, BA and operations is essential in a production-critical environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience in an enterprise or production environment.
• Strong C# expertise with ability to lead development and modernization initiatives.
• Very strong VB.NET knowledge for supporting legacy systems.
• Advanced SQL development including complex queries and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Git-based source control and Azure DevOps or TFS.
• Experience mentoring developers and guiding technical growth within a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead development projects from design through delivery with high code quality.
• Provide day-to-day technical leadership and mentorship for developers.
• Perform thorough code reviews and enforce coding standards.
• Assign tasks, guide implementation approaches, and ensure timely delivery.
• Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and production issues.
• Maintain VB.NET applications while driving modernization in C#.
• Lead refactoring to reduce technical debt and improve stability.
• Contribute to system architecture and technical decision making.
• Collaborate with QA, Business Analysts, Operations and other teams.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures and DB structures.
• Design, implement and support RESTful API integrations.
• Ensure proper error handling, logging, and monitoring.
• Support release planning, deployment readiness, and post-release validation.
