Job summary

The Talent Advantage Group is seeking a Senior VB.NET Desktop Application Developer to support, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance legacy Microsoft desktop applications. The role centers on VB.NET, C#, Windows desktop development, and SQL Server within established codebases.

Ideal candidates will handle production issues, investigate older systems, and deliver enhancements without a full rewrite, while using TFS or Jira for source control and workflow.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on .NET development experience, with substantial VB.NET expertise.
• Strong experience building and maintaining VB.NET desktop applications.
• Hands-on C# development in legacy Microsoft environments.
• Experience with SQL Server, queries, stored procedures, and performance troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with TFS and/or Jira for source control and workflow.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance legacy VB.NET desktop applications.
• Develop Windows-based applications using VB.NET and C#.
• Diagnose defects in mature codebases and implement reliable fixes.
• Analyze existing logic and business processes before production changes.
• Collaborate with users, QA, and teammates to deliver practical solutions.
