Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Charleston, SC is seeking a seasoned .NET full-stack developer to design, implement, and modernize scalable applications. You will lead architecture, define technical designs, and drive modernization of legacy MS Access/VBA systems toward .NET and cloud-ready solutions.

You will build REST APIs, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines, while mentoring teammates and collaborating across functional teams to deliver secure, high-performance software in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in .NET Full Stack development.
• Ability to define application architecture and technical design.
• Strong expertise in .NET Core / .NET 6+; ASP.NET MVC; Web API.
• Proficiency in React.js or Angular; JavaScript; TypeScript; HTML5; CSS3.
• Experience with MS Access frontend, VBA, and SQL Server backend architecture.
• Solid MS Access architecture knowledge: forms, reports, data handling.
• Experience modernizing legacy MS Access/VBA to .NET.
• Strong relational DB/data modeling and performance tuning.
• Experience in microservices architecture and REST API development.
• Hands-on CI/CD pipeline creation and management (Azure DevOps / GitHub).
• Strong DevOps practices and automated testing frameworks.
• Code reviews, coding standards, and governance.
• Integrating applications; managing flat files and enterprise data flows.
• Secure coding, OAuth/JWT authentication, and application security.
• Familiarity with manufacturing/engineering contexts and CAD tools (CATIA).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum/SAFe development models.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Thorough technical writing and documentation.
• Domain experience in Discrete/Manufacturing/Aerospace.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable full-stack apps using .NET and React/Angular.
• Lead architecture definition, technical design, and solution blueprinting.
• Reverse engineer legacy MS Access/VBA applications for modernization.
• Develop modernization strategies (MS Access to .NET; cloud-ready solutions).
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, tests, deployments.
• Conduct code reviews to enforce standards and best practices.
• Develop and consume REST APIs and microservices components.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into tech solutions.
• Integrate apps with databases, flat files, and ERP/MES/PLM systems.
• Ensure security, performance, and scalability of applications.
• Implement automated testing and ensure high code quality.
• Troubleshoot production issues with root-cause analysis.
• Work with cross-functional teams and mentor juniors.
• Maintain technical docs, diagrams, and design artifacts.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and ensure timely sprints.
• Support cloud-first and enterprise modernization initiatives.
