Job summary

HealthPlanOne seeks a Lead Software Engineer to own ongoing development and modernization of its online and backend platforms using advanced .NET technologies. The role emphasizes architecture, code quality, and agile delivery, with Azure services and SQL Server integration.

The successful candidate will mentor engineers, drive best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions supporting sales and operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on software development experience with C# and .NET.
• Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Experience with WCF, Worker Services, and background processing in .NET.
• Strong SQL Server database skills with complex schemas.
• Ability to configure and troubleshoot Azure infrastructure.
• Experience with modern DevOps toolchains, build/release pipelines, and Git/Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical expert for software projects across legacy and modern .NET platforms.
• Develop and maintain technical specifications, architecture, and documentation.
• Lead and participate in code reviews, ensuring coding standards and practices.
• Troubleshoot and optimize applications across multiple .NET versions.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
• Translate requirements into robust technical solutions using Azure and SQL Server.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Azure and on‑premise infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous improvement and excellence.
