Job summary

Visual Connections, LLC invites a Senior Fullstack Developer to join our 100% remote team supporting PHIS modernization for FSIS. You will craft full-stack solutions using C#, .NET, and Azure, modernizing legacy Java functionality into modular .NET services and PHIS components.

You’ll build accessible UIs with Kendo UI, create secure APIs, and implement case-centric workflows across intake, enforcement actions, and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related field.
• At least seven years of software development experience; degree substitutions may apply.
• Secure multi-tier web apps in Azure or Azure Gov with automated build/test/deploy.
• Experience with complex workflow, case-management, or high-auditability systems; federal experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain USDA suitability determination and access authorization as required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack capabilities using C#, ASP.NET Core 8, PHIS services.
• Modernize legacy Java/ANET functionality into modular .NET services and PHIS portals.
• Build responsive UIs with Telerik Kendo UI, ensuring accessibility.
• Develop secure APIs and integrations using Azure API Management and PHIS core services.
• Implement case-centric features: intake, actions, evidence, forms, timelines, closure.
• Create configurable workflow/notification services based on roles and rules.
• Produce technical designs, API specs, runbooks, and documentation.
• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies with architects, analysts, and QA.
