Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in the United States (Missouri/Kansas City area) to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise software solutions.

You will handle backend and frontend integration, API development, and database design within a full-stack context. The role requires strong experience across the SDLC, mentorship for junior developers, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, maintainable software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 5–9 years of experience in .NET application development.
• Strong experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, and Web API.
• Strong understanding of OOP and software design patterns.
• Extensive experience with SQL Server and relational databases.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Experience across the full SDLC.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the SDLC including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Develop scalable backend applications and RESTful APIs using C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, and Web API.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend services and APIs.
• Design database schemas and write SQL queries for SQL Server.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented, and testable code.
• Perform code reviews, refactor, and enforce coding standards.
• Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and issues.
• Contribute to solution architecture, database design, and technical planning.
