ZipStaff is seeking a Senior .NET Developer for the Office of Information Technology in Tallahassee, FL. This hybrid contract (W2 through ZipStaff) leads development for complex financial applications using Visual Studio, .NET, Azure SQL, and SQL Server.

You will mentor teams, ensure quality standards, document processes, and collaborate with architects to deliver scalable solutions for state transportation agency initiatives.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years as a lead developer or development manager.
• 5+ years with relational databases including Azure SQL, SQL Server, and Oracle.
• Strong Microsoft Visual Studio / .NET development experience.
• Experience supporting complex financial business processes.

About the Opportunity

ZipStaff is seeking a Senior .NET Developer for the Office of Information Technology at a major state transportation agency.

You will develop and maintain applications that support complex financial business processes, serve as a subject matter expert on cross-functional projects, and help guide quality and standards. This is a lead-level development seat supporting ongoing business transformation.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop, maintain, and serve as SME for applications dealing with complex financial business processes.
• Provide guidance and oversight to quality assurance from inception through integration, staging, and production.
• Analyze financial systems and dependent processes and assist with process redesign.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve issues using troubleshooting tools and teamwork.
• Collaborate with developers and architects on standards, methodologies, roadmaps, and documentation.
• Work with distributed cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
• Document critical business processes and ensure development standards are followed.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years as a lead developer or development manager.
• 5+ years with relational databases including Azure SQL, SQL Server, and Oracle (or similar).
• Strong Microsoft Visual Studio / .NET development experience.
• Experience developing and maintaining systems that support complex financial business processes.
• SQL proficiency and knowledge of relational database concepts.
• Ability to translate user requirements into business solutions and lead development teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Able to work hybrid in Tallahassee, FL.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ORMs, Entity Framework, or nHibernate.
• Public sector or transportation agency experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
