Job summary

Citizant is seeking a seasoned .NET Developer to support the United States Capitol Police (USCP) Enterprise Applications Management Division. You will design, develop, and maintain mission-critical web apps and services essential to public safety, aligning with USCP policies and architectural guidelines.

Bring 5+ years in software development, strong C#/.NET skills, secure coding practices, and experience with RESTful services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with .NET technologies (ASP.NET, .NET Core) in enterprise environments.
• Local to the D.C. area.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain web applications and services using ASP.NET and .NET Core in accordance with established USCP IT policies and standards.
• Translate functional and technical requirements into well-structured, maintainable, and secure code, ensuring alignment with EAMD architectural guidelines.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application incidents and defects in a fast-paced production environment, working closely with stakeholders and support teams.
• Participate in standard SDLC and Agile practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, code reviews, and backlog refinement.
• Collaborate with database administrators, DevOps engineers, and other developers to optimize application performance and reliability.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, implementation details, and deployment procedures.
• Support limited cross-training activities and knowledge transfer to ensure continuity of operations across the EAMD team.
