Job summary

Zenfreed, LLC in Lansing, MI seeks a Senior .NET Developer to support the DTMB Agency Services and DNR. You’ll develop and enhance a public-facing burn-permit availability application and collaborate with analysts to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.

The role requires strong experience with .NET, MS SQL Server, and Angular, plus the ability to learn new systems, guide agency partners, and work in a hybrid office-based schedule two days per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in .NET, MS SQL Server and ANGULAR.
• Strong experience developing enterprise applications and delivering maintainable, scalable code.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical designs and working software.
• Excellent communication, customer-service mindset, and stakeholder-relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance applications supporting DNR, including the public-facing burn-permit tool.
• Collaborate with business analysts and agency stakeholders to interpret requirements and design solutions.
• Translate business needs into system architecture, technical specifications, and development tasks.
• Support project and work-request activities through coding, testing, debugging, and deployment.
• Participate in discovery sessions and process modeling to align business objectives with system functionality.
• Provide expert guidance on technical feasibility, constraints, standards, and DTMB policies.
• Maintain strong communication with agency partners to ensure transparency throughout development lifecycle.
• Support operational activities as part of the DTMB Agency Services team.
• Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Ensure compliance with security, accessibility, and quality standards.
