Job summary

CEI in Richmond, VA is seeking two Senior Programmer Analysts to support its Commodity Risk Management team. You will work with business users to understand needs, design and build .NET solutions and automation to keep the business running, and contribute to production support in an agile product team.

The role requires 4+ years of hands-on .NET development, strong SQL knowledge, experience in gathering requirements, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on .NET development (C#, ASP.NET, or .NET Core).
• 4+ years as Programmer Analyst, application developer, or in application support.
• Strong knowledge of database structures and management systems (SQL Server, Oracle, or similar).
• Experience gathering requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively on multi-disciplinary teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing systems and business processes to identify requirements and design solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using .NET and SQL.
• Build and implement automation solutions to improve business processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, sometimes in time-sensitive situations.
• Collaborate with business users, developers, and IT teams, and explain technical concepts clearly.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including system design documents and user guides.
• Participate in agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
