Job summary

Dexian is seeking a senior .NET backend developer local to the Washington, DC area to design and build RESTful API services and pub/sub interfaces using .NET 8 and Azure technologies. The role requires four days on site in Downtown DC and close collaboration with QA, DevSecOps, and ITS teams.

You will ensure secure, scalable solutions with knowledge of AD/Entra ID, API Gateways, and Azure Key Vault, while producing clear documentation and architecture artifacts for ongoing programs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in .NET backend development.
• Experience with authentication patterns in Microsoft AD/Entra ID.
• Strong .NET and Azure cloud development experience.
• Experience with API Gateways, Pub/Sub and messaging.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop RESTful API services and pub/sub interfaces per architecture.
• Coordinate with QA to fix bugs and stabilize functionality.
• Integrate with DevSecOps and security controls.
• Collaborate with ITS teams to progress the project through development and production.

Job description

MUST be local to Washington, DC area. Required 4 days on site in Downtown, DC.

Responsibilities:

• Design and Develop the Restful API Services and pub/sub message interfaces in alignment with integration requirements, defined architecture and design and infrastructure specifications. Leverage .Net 8, Azure APIM and Azure Service Bus.
• Coordinate with QA team, fix the bug and stabilize the functionality.
• Integrate the solution with DevSecOps and all the security hooks and controls.
• Work with other ITS teams for taking the project the various steps from development and production.
• Complete the documentation of modules that will be developed.

Skills Required:

• Experience of more than 8 years in .Net application development, especially in middle-tier and back-end development of services, application logic, APIs, etc.
• Strong knowledge of authentication and authorization patterns such as Client Credentials, OBO and other flows, especially in Microsoft AD / Entra ID domains.
• Strong skills and experience in system development, especially in .Net and Azure Cloud.
• Experience with API Gateways, Message / Event hubs, Azure DevOps, SharePoint Online and Azure Key Vault
• Knowledge in the development of application standards, architecture products, artifacts, and standardization processes
• Excellent communication, writing, documentation and facilitation skills
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
