Revolutional is seeking a Senior .NET Developer in McLean, VA (hybrid, onsite work required) to deliver high-quality software across backend services, web apps, and databases. Salary ranges from $115,000 to $130,000 based on experience, with DOE and Public Trust eligibility for qualified US citizens or Green Card holders.

Qualifications

Senior .NET Developer

Location: McLean, VA (hybrid, onsite work required)

Terms: Full-time

Position Description

We are seeking a Senior .NET Developer that will be responsible for delivering high-quality, maintainable software across the full stack. You will work across backend services, web applications, and database layers while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

This role requires strong technical depth, disciplined engineering practices, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues across multiple tiers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using C# and the .NET stack, including .NET MVC, .NET Core 8.0, Web API, Telerik Kendo UI, and NPM.
• Build and enhance web applications using ASP.NET Web Forms and MVC with modern client-side technologies such as JavaScript, CSS/SASS, jQuery, Bootstrap, and TypeScript.
• Develop efficient data access layers using Entity Framework, LINQ, and ADO.NET.
• Write and optimize SQL Server database objects, including T-SQL queries, stored procedures, UDFs, and triggers, leveraging SQL Server 2022 features.
• Support complex database architecture and participate in database migration efforts.
• Design and maintain service-oriented components using WCF.
• Implement unit testing using frameworks such as NUnit and MSTest to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across application, database, and server tiers.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional development teams to design, review, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and continuous improvement.

What You Bring (Requirements)

• U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related degree and 7 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust with the Federal government is mandatory.
• Employer-based sponsorship is not available for this role. Legal permanent residents must have maintained residency status in the United States for a minimum of the past three years.

Technical & Domain Capabilities

• Strong experience with C# and the .NET platform, including .NET Core, MVC, Web API, and WCF
• Strong experience with SQL Server (2022), T-SQL, and database design and migration concepts
• Skilled in developing, testing, and maintaining full-stack .NET applications using Entity Framework, LINQ, and ADO.NET
• Skills in writing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and Web Apps, CI/CD pipelines, work item tracking, and release management

Core Strengths

• Ability to troubleshoot issues across applications, database, and server tiers and collabo-rate effectively within an Agile development team.
• Experience designing and building solutions using modern AI services and platforms, with a strong preference for candidates familiar with Microsoft AI offerings (e.g., Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI), Microsoft Foundry, and Python.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Static Code Analysis using SonarQube or similar.
