Job summary

Cority, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join one of our product engineering teams. This fully remote role is open to candidates in the United States and Canada. You will design, build, and enhance Cority's software platform, collaborating with Product Owners and colleagues to deliver high-quality solutions.

You will own features, mentor engineers, and contribute to technical direction while maintaining strong observability and coding standards across multiple streams.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience with increasing ownership.
• Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with remote, distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical expert in one or more codebase areas and make well-reasoned design decisions with trade-offs.
• Own features and projects from requirements through design to production delivery.
• Estimate milestones and communicate risks early if timelines are at risk.
• Debug complex issues across system boundaries and design for observability (logging, metrics, alerts).
• Mentor engineers and perform thorough code reviews; contribute to quality.
• Document work and decisions so others can build on them; translate requirements into technical designs.
