Garmin Ltd. seeks a Senior Software Engineer specialized in .NET Core to provide technical leadership and drive software development for its Chandler, AZ aviation products as an individual contributor.

You will design, implement, and review C#/.NET Core code, mentor junior engineers, participate in project planning, and contribute to architecture and process improvements while supporting on-call operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Proficiency in C# and.NET Core 6+ with Web API development
• Experience designing well-architected software systems
• Strong problem solving and leadership abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in rotating on-call schedule

Responsibilities

• Lead software development as an individual contributor for Garmin aviation products
• Design and review architecture for new technology and improvements
• Decompose requirements into well-defined tasks
• Research problems and implement suitable algorithms
• Provide peer technical assessments on new technologies
• Contribute to project planning and product development plans
• Mentor junior engineers (SWE I & II)
• Suggest process improvements and author new procedures
• Provide reliable solutions to difficult problems and participate in on-call rotation
