Job summary

Garmin seeks a Senior Embedded C Software Engineer for Chandler AZ or Olathe KS to provide technical leadership and plan software for aviation applications that exchange aircraft data with ground services.

You will design and implement in C, lead complex modules, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-performance embedded systems in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 5+ years of experience.
• Proven ability to design well-architected software systems.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead software development in C and related languages for new products.
• Decompose requirements into well-defined tasks and schedules.
• Mentor junior engineers (levels 1 & 2) and review designs.
• Contribute to project planning and product development documents.
• Provide technical input to feasibility and risk assessments.
