Job summary

TechShack is seeking two Senior .NET Backend Engineers to modernise a large-scale, business-critical platform. This hands-on backend role focuses on an event-driven, multi-tenant .NET architecture alongside legacy migration work.

You will leverage AI-native development approaches and tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot to improve engineering workflows. The role offers 100% remote work, with a rate up to £650 per day (Outside of IR-35).

Qualifications

• Experience with Event Sourcing and CQRS.
• Experience with Kafka or similar event streaming.
• Proficient in complex legacy migrations (Strangler Fig pattern).
• Cloud expertise (AWS or GCP).
• AI-native development mindset and tooling usage.

I’m working with a fast-growing technology business looking for 2 Senior .NET Backend Engineers to help modernise a large-scale, business-critical platform.

This is a hands-on backend role working across an event-driven, multi-tenant .NET architecture, alongside legacy migration work.

Key Skills

• Event Sourcing / CQRS
• Kafka or similar event streaming
• Complex legacy migrations / Strangler Fig approach
• AWS or GCP

AI-native development is important. You should already be using tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or Copilot as part of your day-to-day engineering workflow.

There is also a strong agentic engineering element, including building AI agents/services with defined responsibilities, auditability and observability.

Rate - Up to £650 Per day (Outside of IR-35), 100% Remote.
