Job summary

Optomi, in partnership with a market leader in the financial sector, seeks a Senior .NET Engineer for a hybrid role based in Baltimore, MD. You will support legacy systems for the investment risk team and enhance tools for the securitized fixed income subsector, with backend development at the core.

The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to build scalable solutions, extending data pipelines, and integrating cloud-based workflows for portfolio managers and credit analysts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of backend development experience using .NET framework.
• Experience with databases front-to-back ensuring efficient data flow and integration.
• Proficiency with RESTful APIs for middleware and service communication.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS) and cloud infrastructure.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure and building solutions using cloud components.

Responsibilities

• Enhance and maintain tools and applications supporting credit analysts while pivoting to tools for portfolio managers.
• Focus primarily on backend development using .NET.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on building and maintaining database solutions, deployment pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
• Utilize AWS cloud services to build, deploy, and maintain solutions in the cloud.
• Contribute to RESTful API development and integration with other platforms.
• Participate in technical interviews, pair programming, and architecture discussions to shape the team's technical direction.
