Job summary

Seneca Resources is seeking a Senior .NET Backend & Cloud Software Engineer to design, build, and support a mission-critical E-Citations platform for one of New York City's largest public sector organizations.

This highly visible, hands-on role develops cloud-native services, secure APIs, enterprise integrations, and modern data pipelines. You will collaborate with Product, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Data Engineering, QA, and Enterprise Architecture teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience building enterprise applications.
• Hands-on with C#, .NET, and ASP.NET Core.
• Cloud-native backend services and APIs design & development.
• Experience on Azure, AWS, or GCP; containerization and orchestration.
• REST APIs, enterprise integration patterns, distributed systems.
• ETL/ELT pipelines, relational and NoSQL databases, security practices.
• DevOps, IaC, CI/CD, testing, observability tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and support modern backend services with C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core.
• Build scalable applications for critical business workflows and secure APIs.
• Develop cloud-native solutions on Azure, AWS, or GCP and serverless options.
• Contribute to cloud architecture decisions emphasizing scalability, reliability, security.
• Implement IaC with Terraform, ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation; ensure CI/CD pipelines.
• Create integrations using REST, SOAP, API Gateways; support production systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Product, Security, Data Engineering.
