Job summary

North Carolina Secretary of State is seeking an experienced Application Systems Specialist to perform advanced application systems analysis, design, development, and support for enterprise applications. You will lead or coordinate client/server and web-based solutions using C#, ASP.NET Core MVC, SQL Server, HTML5, JavaScript, and jQuery, guiding upgrades, testing, migrations, and integrations.

The role requires strong database design, API usage, and the ability to provide technical leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or an IT related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in client/server and web-based applications development using C#, ASP.NET Core MVC, SQL Server, HTML5, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience leading or coordinating application implementations, upgrades, testing, migrations, and system enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using C#, ASP.NET Core MVC, and SQL Server.
• Design relational databases, optimize queries, and define business rules and program specifications.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to development and support staff.
• Collaborate with users, IT staff, vendors, and stakeholders to gather requirements and implement system improvements.
