Guidehouse is seeking a senior NERC Operations & Planning (O&P) and CIP specialist to advise energy providers on compliance with reliability standards that protect the electric grid. Deep expertise in NERC O&P, CIP, and related regulatory frameworks is required, with experience guiding audits and implementing corrective actions.

The role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams, leading multiple projects, and traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• US Permanent Resident or US Citizen required.
• 7+ years post-graduation experience in electric utility industry or NERC regulator (or 5+ years with Master’s).
• Experience with North American NERC Reliability Standards (USA/Canada) and CIP.
• Proven experience in NERC 693 compliance management.

Responsabilités

• Lead development, implementation, and maintenance of NERC O&P and CIP compliance programs.
• Assess utility operations to identify gaps and develop corrective actions.
• Prepare documentation, reports, and audit responses for NERC standards.
• Provide guidance for internal audits and external reviews.
• Deliver training on NERC requirements and best practices.
• Stay current with industry regulations and grid reliability challenges.
• Maintain data integrity and confidentiality through metadata and retention policies.
• Collaborate with compliance, operations, IT and engineering teams to align architecture with regulatory needs.
