Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a senior Compliance Analyst to lead the NERC and enterprise compliance program. The role requires directing activities, developing solutions, and guiding teams through regulatory requirements such as FERC, NERC, and NIST.

You will balance internal IT controls with external regulatory needs and serve as a liaison to multiple business areas and external entities. The position emphasizes leadership, strategic planning, and the ability to manage complex compliance projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 6 years related work experience, or High School/GED with 10 years related work experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to create complex technical reports for stakeholders.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards (FERC, NERC, NIST, Sarbanes-Oxley) and compliance controls.
• Proven leadership and ability to drive teams and projects in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the NERC compliance program and other enterprise compliance efforts across multiple areas of specialization.
• Act as audit lead, coach team on audit behaviors, and prepare for real-time audits.
• Respond to internal and external data requests and prepare thorough technical reports.
• Develop innovative compliance solutions and lead cross-functional initiatives.
• Coordinate with regional teams to provide consistent, scalable process controls and job plans.
