Job summary

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking an RT Technician to perform NDT operations and evaluate radiography results in accordance with certified methods, inspecting piping, tanks and vessels in a lay down yard.

You will train an RT assistant, calibrate equipment, interpret results against codes and standards, organize data, and report findings while supporting on-the-job training and upholding safety and quality as top priorities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to generate technical data orally, in writing, and electronically as required.
• 12 months prior NDT experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform piping/vessel inspections in a lay down yard (Fab Shop) using Radiography and report findings.
• Train RT assistant, run the film and grade the film per specific procedures directed by the customer.
• Perform setup and calibrate equipment and interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
• Mentor trainees and NDT level I personnel on the job.
• Organize and report the results of NDT tests.
• Generate NDT data, organize data, and report findings.
• Other duties as assigned.
