Job summary

MISTRAS Group, Inc. in Evansville, IN is seeking an NDT Inspector to perform piping and vessel inspections in a Fab Shop using radiography and to report findings.

The role includes training RT assistants, calibrating equipment, and interpreting results to applicable codes and standards. You will contribute to documenting data and supporting on-the-job training for trainees and Level I personnel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 12 months of prior NDT experience.
• Ability to generate technical data orally, in writing, and electronically as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform piping/vessel inspections in a lay down yard using radiography and report findings.
• Train RT assistant, run the film and grade the film per procedures directed by the customer.
• Set up and calibrate equipment; interpret results with respect to codes and standards.
• Be familiar with the scope of methods and provide on-the-job training for trainees and Level I personnel.
• Organize and report the results of NDT tests.
• Generate NDT data, organize data, and report findings.
• Other duties as assigned.
