Overview
The successful candidate will contribute to the oversight of Nondestructive testing (NDT) supporting Electric Boats Groton, CT facility. The successful candidate will report directly to the Groton NDT Engineering (NDTE) Supervisor. This position will provide technical evaluation, guidance, and expertise in various NDT Methods, such as Visual Testing (VT), Magnetic Particle (MT) and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT). Primary responsibilities are to maintain existing NDT procedures for specific applications, monitor the NDT training programs and performance of Level I and Level II personnel, and administer examinations to certify or recertify Level I and Level II personnel in the assigned NDT methods. The Examiner will provide technical guidance and expertise for both Nuclear and Non-nuclear applications at Electric Boat.
