Job summary

Advanced Infrastructure Design, Inc. (AID) in central New Jersey seeks a Senior Engineer to perform field, office, and lab NDT/NDE tasks for highway infrastructure, bridges, and pavements.

You will support testing, data analysis, and reporting under supervision, with growth opportunities. Required BSCE (MSCE preferred), 4+ years in NDT, strong communication, and familiarity with GPR, IE, SASW, FWD, and related tools; experience with AutoCAD/MicroStation/Civil 3D is a plus, and supervision

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• At least 4+ years of experience in NDT fields.
• Strong proficiency in CI/ASCE 38‑22 standards and utility investigation.
• Expertise in geophysical testing and analysis, including EMI and GPR.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and GPR software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present complex information clearly.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform NDT/NDE field, office, and lab tasks under supervision.
• QC/QA of NDT engineering design projects and assist with project management.
• Conduct site reconnaissance visits and NDT testing.
• Evaluate pavement conditions and locate subsurface utilities.
• Analyze NDT data (GPR, LCMS, FWD back-calculation) and prepare proposals and cost estimates.
• Prepare technically sound project reports; supervise NDT Technicians.
