Job summary

OpenTrain AI, Inc. seeks a remote, part-time NDT specialist to provide expert feedback used to train AI systems for non-destructive testing.

You will analyze radiographic, UT, and PAUT results, evaluate indications, and document decisions with clear technical rationale. Key qualifications include active ASNT or ISO 9712 NDT Level II/III certification and 8+ years in radiography/UT/MT/PT interpretation within oil, gas, petrochemical, or power sectors.

Qualifications

• Active ASNT or ISO 9712 NDT Level II or III certification in RT, UT, PAUT, MT or PT.
• 8+ years interpreting radiographs, UT/PAUT, MT/PT indications and related NDT data.
• Experience in oil, gas, petrochemical or power-sector inspection work.
• Knowledge of ASME V, VIII, XI; API 510/570/653/1104; AWS D1.1.
• Ability to make accept/reject decisions using weld defect criteria.

Responsibilities

• Analyze radiographic testing, ultrasonic testing, and phased-array inspection results.
• Evaluate magnetic particle and penetrant indications, weld flaws, and component conditions.
• Review inspection data and recommend dispositions using code-based acceptance criteria.
• Assess thermographic imagery or remote visual inspection footage when assigned.
• Explain findings, reasoning, and actions in clear technical reports.
• Help improve evaluation protocols using industry practices and changing compliance.
