Job summary

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking a Numerical Control Programmer 5 (Contract) to support production engineering in Everett, Renton, or Auburn, WA. This contract role focuses on NC programming, robotics, and process improvement in a busy factory setting.

The successful candidate will work with ABB, KUKA, Fanuc robots, and CAM/CAD tools in a hands-on environment, mentoring others and driving efficiency on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Experience with high-speed machining in a production environment.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings.
• 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Consults with internal and external stakeholders to develop technical requirements for numerical control and manufacturing processes.
• Identifies equipment and approaches, ensures accommodation of numerical controller programming and resolves manufacturing or production process concerns.
• Manages implementation of new and revised computing applications for design, machining or inspection systems.
• Trains and mentors others.
• Works under consultative direction.
