Job summary

Samsara is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Commercial Navigation to own navigation features end to end. You will contribute across mobile, backend, and web, ensuring reliability under dynamic routes and intermittent connectivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of experience in software development.
• Proven experience shipping customer-facing software in production across multiple surfaces (mobile, web, backend).
• Comfortable using AI development tools with judgment in day-to-day engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own features end to end from design through production rollout.
• Write maintainable, well-tested code and maintain high design and code review standards.
• Build across mobile, backend services, and web for driver navigation experiences and admin visibility.
• Turn ambiguity into action by defining success metrics, milestones, and communicating risks.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, designers, and partners across maps and telematics.
• Champion Samsara’s cultural principles and contribute to a global, inclusive team.
