Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Naval System Security Engineer with a background in Navy surface major weapons, combat, and or fire control systems to assist our customer with systems, technical, and security engineering methodologies and services.

Responsibilities include development, integration, and management of complex Naval surface weapons/combat defense systems; system design/integration documents; and implementing SSE measures to deter unauthorized access. Active SECRET clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of demonstrated knowledge relevant to SOW disciplines.
• 10 years DoD systems engineering experience with major weapons/C2/cyber and five years as a team leader.
• Experience resolving complex systems engineering issues across platforms, weapons, C2, cyber SA, and fire control.
• Ten years professional experience for senior/system engineer roles; eight years lifecycle development.
• Experience with GOTS/COTS software environments.
• Experience developing system integration documents for weapons systems and combat systems.
• Active SECRET U.S. Government Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise with development, integration, and management of complex Naval surface weapons/combat defense systems.
• Provide system design/integration documents for weapons control systems and surface combat, control and/or situational awareness systems.
• Design and implement SSE measures to prevent unauthorized access to critical technologies.
• Integrate hardware and software protections into major weapons, combat, and fire control systems.
• Develop Program Protection Plans (PPP) and other security documentation.
• Perform requirements derivation, allocation, and management for weapon control systems.
• Coordinate impacts of proposed system changes with internal/external organizations and stakeholders.

Education

Bachelor’s of Science degree in engineering, scientific, or technical discipline
