Job summary

ORBIS Inc. in Norfolk, VA, seeks a Waterfront Ship Manager Representative Senior Engineering Technician IV to bridge engineering oversight and waterfront execution for Navy programs.

You will verify material deliveries, coordinate test procedures, prepare status reports, manage SPIRs and INCO spares, and ensure safe tag-out of equipment; require 10 years in HM&E on Navy ships; must be a U.S. citizen with a secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience in maintenance, testing and repair of HM&E equipment on U.S. Navy ships or submarines.
• Experience providing direct fleet support, installations, testing and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of NAVSEA HQ and Surface fleet organizations preferred.
• Secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Physically verifies material delivery and tracks missing items.
• Coordinates NSWCPD test procedures across technical codes with shipyard test management.
• Prepares and submits weekly waterfront status reports on test progress and personnel availability.
• Manages SPIRs, ensuring timely data entry and resolution tracking.
• Oversees installation and checkout spares to replace failed components during testing.
• Provides weekly INCO status reports.
• Conducts power coordination for shipboard work and safe tag-in/tag-out procedures.
• Monitors delays or changes from production entities to the NSWCPD program office.
