Job summary

Bowhead seeks a Senior Engineering Technician to join NSWC Crane Division in Indiana. The technician will perform non-standardized tasks, adapt procedures, and work with supervisors or engineers to ensure mission-ready support for submarine battery systems.

Responsibilities include updates to technical manuals and PMS, logistics tracking, battery procedures, and fleet data analysis, with on-site support and collaboration with NAVSEA sponsors and battery vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electronics with 5–7 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience operating, maintaining, or supporting submarine systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical manual updates and revisions.
• Provide PMS updates and revisions.
• Logistics research and tracking.
• Draft, review, and route submarine battery operating procedures.
• Provide battery performance analysis.
• ABMS troubleshooting and repair.
• Update Fleet training.
• Participate in NAVSEA sponsor meetings and with vendors.
• Analyze fleet operational data for ISEA review.
• Provide on-site fleet technical assistance and report evaluation.
