Job summary

Bowhead seeks an Engineer to join our team at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, IN. The engineer will provide technical and engineering support to the Strategic Systems Guidance, Navigation and Control Division.

The role emphasizes developing program plans, conducting market research, verifying hardware, and coordinating with government teams to ensure proper execution of SP27 and related SSP programs. Security clearance is typical for the work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
• 0–2 years of technical experience on high reliability systems.
• Experience identifying and solving hardware problems in design and integration of high reliability systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and engineering support to the SP27/SSP programs and ESE/FFF systems.
• Assist in developing program plans, schedules, and performance metrics.
• Perform market research, hardware verification, calibration data collection, and testing prior to field deployment.
• Support IV&V activities through IRT and government reviews.
• Document improvements and perform engineering analyses (FEA, CFD) to enhance capabilities.
